Until I need to buy new tires. I was thinking about just using the tires I have on my stock wheels, but the 225/40 front would be a little stretched on the new 8.5 front. Cheapest good set of tires are ventus V12's at about $470 after rebate, but I’m looking more for an all season tire. Over $800 for DWS06, which is what I run on all my other vehicles run (great tire).
235/40/18 front 265/35/18 rear.. Expensive tires almost make me wish I went with 17's.

Not sure where you live, but I vote you buy summer tires and save for a good set of winters. All-seasons are bunk. You’ll enjoy the car so much more in summer and in winter.
Of course, this applies a whole lot less if you don’t get much snow. If it gets cold but no snow... I don’t know what to tell you.

God I hate buying tires.
Never bought a new pair for my rx7 as it has a lot of camber and eats tires so fast I couldnt justify it.....

I can relate. The Corolla I had in college, based on tire size and prices at the time, was something like $35/tire. It's sticker shock every time I go in with my current car.

I buy used tires once or twice a year. I find good brand and model tires with minimal wear and pay $40-50 per wheel mounted and balanced.
There are a shitton of used tire places around here so the selection is huge and so are the savings vs new.
YMMV

Invest in tires, they’re your connection to the road and the biggest investment/upgrade you can make on your vehicle.

FWIW I'm seeing prices for 18s that are actually lower than the prices I paid for 17s a few years ago. Though it's hard to get anything decent at less than $140/tire.

We just had to buy new tires for our entire fleet this spring. Not a fun expenditure. The allroad is on 19s. Thank goodness for my tax return this year.

True story. Although, I have a all season set that I use for early spring and late fall. But I have a wheel problem.

Bout to order some new Conti - DW’s for my Speed this week. I have this goofy setup where I have 2 max summer tires and 2 of the DWS all-season version. Funny thing is, it has actually worked out well switching them front to back as the seasons change.
.....Major caveat being, the last few winters have been easy to deal with.
